Effect of Processing Technique on LDPE Thin Films and sheets

Abstract: LDPE (low density polyethylene/Graphene (G) nanocomposites were fabricated using solution casting to produce thin films and using compression molding to produce sheets. The mechanical and physical properties of thin films and sheets were evaluated. The results indicated that LDPE thin films and their nanocomposites have enhanced tensile properties compared to LDPE sheets and their nanocomposites. Moreover LDPE/G thin films had Melt flow index and higher thermal stability results compared to LDPE/G sheets and their nanocomposites. Controlling the mechanical and physical properties is a fundamental factor in LDPE packaging applications and membrane technology. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study that presents the effect of processing technique and the effect of G nanofiller content on LDPE films

Solar Passive Techniques: Earth Air Tunnel

Abstract: Solar passive technique is basically based on the principle of taking the maximum advantage of the local climatic conditions for desired surrounding conditions. In the present paper different methods namely: wind towers and earth air tunnel have been discussed and an experimental setup for earth air tunnel has been performed to study the effect of the same on the surroundings. Heating and cooling tests were performed for three consecutive days and for 7 hours each day.

Saturation point of traffic on the channel Based on the Ship Domain

Abstract: In order to evaluate the dynamic navigation saturation point of the channel which becomes more and more complicated, according to the actual traffic data of the deep-water channel of Shanghai port, the uneven coefficient of vessel arrival was introduced to establish the calculation model of channel dynamic transit capacity and saturation point . Based on the traffic observation data of the deep-water channel, the dynamic saturation point of channel was analyzed with the established model. It turns out that the results of the saturation point of the deep-water channel based on the established model is basically in accordance with the actual situation.

Smart Farm Using Smart Dust Cubic- Millimeter Computer

Abstract: One of the Major problems which we face today is agriculture. If the agriculture is done in a large scale the monitoring of large farms becomes a tedious process, so a computational method which monitors the nutrient content of the different parts of the farm land is required to enhance the crop yield of the farm land. so my aim is to instantaneously monitor the farm land continuously using a new technology called smart dust and send the information for processing and if there is a lack of a particular nutrient then automatically the required amount of the nutrient is mixed with the water and then irrigated , and if the farm lacks in water then it is sensed by the smart dust and information is transmitted , then the pump is automatically switched on. By using this technology the farm can be monitored 360 degrees which will then result in increased crop yield.

An imperceptible blind image watermarking scheme for image authentication using DNA encoding and multi-resolution wavelet decomposition

Abstract: Digital storage, transmission and manipulation of video signals and still images exhibited a tremendous growth in the last few years, mainly due to the expansion of computer networks and the introduction of multimedia technologies to the information market. Copyright protection techniques are in great demand due to the widespread illegal copying and communication of digital media. One way to protect images against illegal recordings and retransmissions is to embed a signal, called digital signature or copyright label or watermark, that completely characterizes the person who applied it and, therefore, marks it as being his intellectual property. Various watermarking methods have been proposed lately for digital images. Wavelet-based embedding techniques gained a lot of attention since they provide the perfect balance between imperceptibility and robustness. In this project, we introduce an algorithm for hiding the complement of a DNA-encoded watermark data into the 3rd level resolution of the wavelet decomposition of a true colour image. It applies a quantization operation on the sorted detail coefficients for an enhanced invisible embedding

Design And Implementaion Of A Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (Dtmf) Based Gsm-Controlled Car Security

Abstract: This paper focused on developing an enhancement of the vehicle antitheft security systems via a Phone call. It is designed to improve vehicle security and accessibility since it can be used to monitor and control other devices in the vehicle. The system will manipulate a mobile phone to send commands in form of DTMF signals to the vehicle. It utilizes an embedded system design with Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) and a GSM to monitor and safeguard a car. Upon activation, it automatically demobilizes the car by disconnecting the ignition key supply from the car battery. This makes it impossible for anybody to starts the car. The vehicle is controlled by a mobile phone that makes a call to the GSM mobile phone attached or incorporated into the vehicle. In the course of a call, if any button is pressed, a tone corresponding to the button pressed is heard at the other end of the call. This tone is called "dual-tone multiple-frequency‟ (DTMF) tone. The vehicle perceives this DTMF tone with the help of the phone stacked into the vehicle. The received tone is processed by the microcontroller with the help of DTMF decoder. The decoder decodes the DTMF tone into its equivalent binary digit and this binary number is sent to the microcontroller. The microcontroller is programmed to take a decision for any given input and outputs. Upon receiving a code, the microcontroller will then carryout appropriate task based on the way it was programmed. The microcontroller is programmed to carry out the task of disconnecting the ignition or fuel system of the vehicle, or to control another device in the vehicle

Single Phase Inverter with Selective Harmonics Elimination PWM Based on Secant Method

Abstract: Selective harmonics can be eliminated by controlling the inverter switches at optimized switching angles in single phase dc-ac inverters. These switching angles are estimated by solving a set of nonlinear equations. This paper presents a novel technique for solving these equations based on secant method. The proposed algorithm simplifies the numerical solution of the nonlinear equations, solves them fast and achieves convergence of solution at different starting vector of angles. The proposed method is applied with different modulation index and different number of equations, i.e. different number of switching angles to achieve the elimination of certain harmonics. High performance of the inverter is validated through simulation results.

Abstract:At a peripheral milling machining, positioning of the workpiece generally has deviations from its nominal position in the sense of small displacements and orientations. These differences generally depend on:Geometrical defects of the machining assembly;contact defects of the workpiece on the machining assembly;Deformation caused by dynamic cutting forces, for positioning and clamping. Indeed, the evolution cutting orces acting on the workpiece during machining causes a critical vibrational behavior of the part that generates small dynamic displacements interaction « workpiece-mounting » causing instabilities layring and a generation of geometric imperfections during machining. When the defect is too large by-the geometrical and dimensional specifications required, we must minimize vibration of the room, by acting on the optimal configuration of the locations of iso-static support clamps, but also cutting condition. Abstract:Magnetorheological (MR) Fluids are materials that respond to an applied magnetic field with a dramatic change in rheological behavior. An MR Fluid is a free-flowing liquid in the absence of magnetic field, but under a strong magnetic field its viscosity can be increased by more than two orders of magnitude in a very short time (milliseconds) and it exhibits solid-like characteristics. MR Fluid Dampers, based on MR Fluids, have been shown to be semi-active control devices that mesh well with application demands and constraints to offer an attractive means of controlling the intensity of vibrations in structures due to their mechanical simplicity, high dynamic range, low power requirements, large force capacity and robustness. The focus of this work is to design and analyze the MR Fluid Damper in order to suppress the structural vibrations. Following an overview of the essential features of MR Fluid Dampers, this paper discusses the design features of MR Fluid Damper i.e. hydraulic circuit and magnetic circuit and analyzes the same for structural vibration control. Using Computational Fluid Dynamics And Analysis Of Microchannel Heat Sink

Abstract:Study water flow and heat transfer characteristics in a three-dimensional straight microchannel heat sink of rectangular cross-section to be performed by analytical and CFD software. A three-dimensional model was built, to investigate the conjugate fluid flow and heat transfer phenomena in a copper based microchannel heat sink. In simulation studied the effect of aspect ratio on parameters like heat transfer Coefficient, average temperature, internal heat generation and pressure drop. Corresponding to this, analysis is also undergoing with varying flow rate and heat flux. Then compare the results obtained from analytical and CFD simulation, using these results will have the suitable microchannel cross-section for dissipation of heat. Multiple Distributed Generations Optimal Location Choice and Range by Using KFA

Abstract:The beneficial effects of DG mainly depend on its location and size. The non optimal placement of multiple DGs will lead to increase the losses in the system and also its cost of generation. Therefore, the selection of optimal location and size of the DG plays a key role to maintain the constant voltage profile and reliability of existing system effectively before it is connected to the power grid. In this paper, a method to determine the optimal locations of DG is proposed by considering power loss. Also, their optimal sizes are determined by using kalman filter algorithm. It also analysis the system cost of generation before and after placement of DG. The proposed KFA based approach is to be tested on standard IEEE-30 bus system. Abstract:It is a challenging task in a network-on-chip to design an on-chip switch/router to dynamically support guaranteed traffic permutation in multiprocessor system- on-chip under the constraints of power, timing, area, and time-to-market. The proposed network implies a pipelined circuit-switching approach combined with a dynamic path-setup scheme under a multistage network topology. The dynamic path-setup under probing mechanism defines runtime path arrangement for arbitrary traffic permutations. The circuit-switching approach offers a guarantee of permuted data and its compact overhead enables the benefit of stacking multiple networks.

Abstract:Hand gesture recognition system plays a vital role in our day to day life. This hand gesture recognition system provides us natural, innovative, user friendly way of interaction with the computer which is more familiar to us. Gesture recognition has a wide area of application including human machine interaction, sign language, game technology robotics etc. There are different static hand gestures defined these are representing one, two, three, four, five. There are different dynamic hand gestures defined these are representing waving hand, fist hand, vertical hand, and horizontal hand. We developed a simple and fast motion image based algorithm. Gestures recognition deals with the goal of interpreting human gestures via mathematical algorithm In general, it is suitable to control home appliances using hand gestures. A New Multilevel Inverter Based Wind Generation System with Power Factor Correction

Abstract:The implementation of power converters and power factor correction by using five level multi level inverts for wind generator is proposed in this project. In this project we are using a wind generator, a three phase ac/dc full-bridge semi controlled boost rectifier, a dc/dc single-ended primary inductance converter (SEPIC), a bi-directional converter and multilevel inverter. Mainly in this system the wind generator is used as the main power source and lead-acid batteries as the auxiliary power source. In this project main thesis is to power factor correction by reducing the harmonics to achieve unit power factor and maximum power point tracking (MPPT), thus to improve the overall system performance and reduces the harmonics in a large amount to achieve pure sine wave . In existing system normal full ridge inverter is used but it needs very large LC filters. It produces large harmonics to obtain pure sine wave. So in the proposed system we are using thefive level multilevel inverter. In addition, the bidirectional converter provides charging and discharging compensation to dc bus by controlling the duty cycle of switches. Finally, the multilevel inverter produces a stable ac output with feedback

Superconducting Fault Current Limiter for Energy Storage Protection in a Micro Grid

Abstract:This paper presents the protection of energy storage systems (ESSs) with super conducting fault current limiter (SFCL) in micro grid. It is important to supply electrical power to micro grid, the energy storage systems (ESSs) must be interconnected without any interruption. The application of super conducting fault current limiter (SFCL) plays very important role in the reduction abnormal fault current in the micro grid. The main objective of SFCL to keep the ESSs from disconnecting from the grid when the ground fault occurs for this resistive type SFCL model is designed using simulink model and also utilized for determining the an impendence level of the SFCL according to the fault current limitation. The simulation results are obtained using MATLAB/SIMULINK software.

Novel Three-Level Converter forPower-Factor-Correction and Connected To DC Drive

Abstract:Harmonic pollution and low power factor in power systems caused by power converters have been of great concern. To overcome these problems several converter topologies using advanced semiconductor devices and control schemes have been proposed. In this paper a new three-level ac–dc single-stage converter that can operate with standard phase-shift pulse width modulation is proposed.The ac–dc power supplies with transformer isolation are typically implemented with some sort of input power factor correction (PFC) to comply with harmonic standards such as IEC 1000-3-2. There are three techniques to satisfy these standards. One of them is adding passive filter elements to the traditional passive diode rectifier/LC filter input combination; the resulting converter is very bulky and heavy due to the size of the low-frequency inductors and capacitors. In this paper, the operation of the converter is explained, and its feasibility is confirmed with experimental results obtained from a prototype converter. Finally, the efficiency of the new converter is compared with that of the converter shown..

Simulation of 4-Leg Inverter based APF for PV based System with Effective Controller

Abstract:Now a day's due to increase in the power demand, generation has to be increased. Due to which the fossil fuels are using out which creates the pollution too. Hence we are using the Renewable energy sources which neither creates pollution problems nor energy conservation problems. Renewable energy resources (RES) are being increasingly connected in distribution systems utilizing power electronic converters. Among the Renewable energy resources most abundantly available throughout the earth is Sun radiation. In order to convert the solar radiation to Electrical energy we use PV Cell. Hence designed PV Cell is applied to the converter and given to the grid. Even many techniques proposed the Modeling and designing of the PV Cell and its interface to the grid, it suffers from many controlling problems due the Non linear characteristics of the Load. This paper presents a novel control strategy for achieving maximum benefits from these grid-interfacing inverters when installed in 3-phase 4-wire distribution systems.

Simulation of a SVPWM Applied to a Buck –Boost Voltage Source Two Level Inverter

Abstract:This paper presents successful application of a space vector pulse width amplitude modulation (SVPWAM) for buck –boost voltage source inverter. It is a standard PWM technique to utilize the DC-AC power conversion, for a voltage source inverter, in this technique the switching losses is reduced by 87%, as compared to conventional sinusoidal pulse width amplitude modulation (SPWM) method. In this case power density increased by a factor of 2 to 3. In addition, it is also verified that the output harmonic distortions of SVPWAM is lower than SPWM. The switching power loss is reduced by 90% compared with the conventional SPWM inverter system. Hence to obtain the good voltage transfer and reduced switching losses SVPWAM is used. As a result, SVPWAM is used to make the buck–boost inverter suitable for applications that require high efficiency, high power density, high temperature, and low cost, such as EV motor drive or engine starter/synchronous machines. In this work, a buck boost voltage source inverter using space vector modulation strategy has been modeled and simulated. Simulation results are obtained using MATLAB/Simulink environment for effectiveness of the study..

Design of New Rv Multilevel Inverter Topology For Induction Motor Applications

Abstract:Multilevel inverters have been widely accepted for high-power high-voltage applications. Their performance is highly superior to that of conventional two-level inverters due to reduced harmonic distortion, lower electromagnetic interference, and higher dc link voltages. However, it has some disadvantages such as increased number of components, complex pulse width modulation control method, and voltage-balancing problem. In this project, a new topology with a reversing-voltage component is proposed to improve the multilevel performance by compensating the disadvantages mentioned. This topology requires fewer components compared to existing inverters (particularly in higher levels) and requires fewer carrier signals and gate drives. Therefore, the overall cost and complexity are greatly reduced particularly for higher output voltage levels. Finally, a prototype of the seven-level proposed topology is built and tested to show the performance of the inverter by experimental results.
